Gerard Pique (24) , FC Barcelona, on ethics in football and elsewhere [in "Welt am Sonntag", 2011-03-27 p. 32]:
"Von klein auf bringen sie Dir [in La Masia, Nachwuchsinternat von Barca] bei, eine gute Person zu sein.
Wenn Du Talent hast, aber keine Werte, kannst Du leicht die Orientierung verlieren."
During the
CAPP 2011 School
on "Computer Algebra and Particle Physics", we had some coffee break discussions on German Urheberrecht and on international copyright law.
The participants found the topics very important and many of them feeled some lack of information on the basics of the topic.

Many webpages on Urheberrecht/copyright law may be found with google and other search engines.
Most of them are reasonable and they give, taken together, a quite coherent picture.
All experience shows that the basic question is that of ethical behaviour.
Nearly all of us broke, in a formal sense, the Urheberrecht/copyright law sometimes, normally without an intention to do so.
In such cases, one has to try to clean the situation, and normally this is possible and will be done.
One of our Ph.D. students knows: When formulating software licences, you should not try to cover the most extreme cases you experienced, because they are seldom and cannot be prevented by a "good licence". Don't panic!
